Pandemic is a warm up for climate change

Mark Stevenson is a writer, businessman, public speaker and 'reluctant' futurologist and has spoken at several Citywire events in the past. He came into our Vauxhall studios ahead of New Model Adviser's April special edition Advice: 2050. Mark and NMA editor Will Robins discuss what is coming next, for health, climate change, democracy, technology and more. Although he is under 'crushing non disclosure agreements' Mark's recent discussions have been with government departments, the Ministry of Defence and medecins sans frontieres. 'Think of coronavirus as an easy training day for whats coming,' Stevenson says. Or to put it another way 'climate change is going to destroy everything unless we do something.' It's a strong message, but, it turns out, a hopeful one for those who are willing to embrace the challenge.
